Day 2 : Who do you voodoo ? [Purna and Xian Mei from "Dead Island"]

As a break from my traditional art pursuits, I took on this project for a customer. It was such a fun challenge. I do like to stretch my boundaries.

The sketchbook doodle that turned into something special. To this day, it’s still one of my favourite drawings. Pencil, Charcoal Pencil, Pastel Pencils on 9” x 12” Strathmore Archival Sketchbook Paper.

My first try at dip pen art. Found that it's cheap and there's less of an environmental burden considering disposable fine liners.

Spent a little time over the Thanksgiving holiday trying out Dr.Ph. Martin's colored inks! I had a little trouble mixing the yellows but for the most part they were a joy to work with. Reference from Unsplash.

Big-eared Brown Bat (Histiotus macrotus). Hybrid technique (digital enhanced watercolor). This species has large dark ears. The dorsal hairs are strongly bicolored, with black or dark brown bases and yellow tips. Some authors consider that H. macrotus is distributed only in Chile and Argentina.
